How to Write, Sell and Market Your Nonfiction Book
As the author and co-author of two nonfiction books (Sun Signs for Writers and The Complete Writer: A Guide To Tapping Your Full Potential) and hundreds of nonfiction articles over the past ten years, Bev will help you find your way through the confusing maze of writing your next nonfiction book, whether it's your first or your fifteenth.
Week One: How to Develop, Research and Refine a Concept for Your Nonfiction Book
Week Two: How to Craft a Solid Book Proposal and Submit It to Publishers and Agents
Week Three: How to Develop and Write Your Nonfiction Book
Week Four: How to Create Advance Book and Author Awareness
**In addition to the weekly course presentation material, Bev will provide supplemental handouts on how to find a reputable agent (or determine if you even need one!), how to develop a media/press kit and how to build a specialized marketing campaign for your book.
In this course, students will learn how to:
* Pitch a nonfiction book using a well-crafted, professional proposal
* Craft an effective working outline for a nonfiction manuscript
* Set manageable goals for writing a complete nonfiction book manuscript
* Utilize a variety of marketing and promotion methods to increase awareness of their proposed, upcoming or current nonfiction books
By the conclusion of the course, students will have a solid plan they can use to transform current and future ideas for nonfiction manuscripts into completed nonfiction books.
